Man Ray is an archenemy of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. In Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III, he was frozen by them before being unthawed by SpongeBob and Patrick. Afterwards he decides to give up evil and become nice. He resurfaces as a villain in SpongeBob SquarePants the Yellow Avenger. He also appears (along with the Dirty Bubble and Barnacle Boy) in Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V, as part of E.V.I.L.. He is also referenced (though not seen) in both Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VI: The Motion Picture. He is voiced by John Rhys-Davies. His name is both a pun on Manta Ray, and the famous photographer of the same name.
The Dirty Bubble is an evil villain seen in many different SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. He is the sidekick of Manray, and his appearance is a big, round, brown bubble. He can steal things by landing over an object and sucking it in. He is also a renown paddleball champion. He has taken a vacation to Cancun with the Killer Shrimp. SpongeBob popped the Dirty Bubble in the episode, "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II," but he is seen in later episodes.
